The Revolution
The Roadkill collection program
It’s 15h00 and the African sun is beating down on the fresh remains of some bush creature. Flies hover around. It could be a scene from the savannah – except it’s on the busy N7 highway.
Green Guerrillas will scoop up the remains and take them to an aquaponics and trout farm. This cutting-edge farm propagates all its fresh produce with water taken from the captive bred trout tanks, and road kill provides a ready source of vital flies for the trout. And it’s a reason why we get discounts on our fresh fish.
The Green Guerrillas explore creative ways to reduce over all costs of tours, but yet offer sustainable alternatives that exceed expectations – giving the client the best for less.

When you turn your world upside down you realise it already is! It’s all just in the mind.

Carbon Footprint
The developing world depends on international travellers to grow their economies. South Africa is proud to be an awesome destination and it is the steady flow of travellers that are growing opportunity at every level.
Your carbon footprints are giving our communities economic reach. The Green Guerrillas are implementing and supporting projects that are providing job opportunities, inspiring young entrepreneurs and making it possible for individuals to reach out for the future right now. Leading by taking action
Statistics: The average European emits 9,000kg of CO2 a year, the average American emits 22,000kg and the average African emits about 1,000kg.We Africans are entitled to increase ours moderately as we pull ourselves out of poverty.
Be a part of that. Economic Empowerment action. And seed the green social and environmental revolution in South Africa with the Green Guerrillas.

Come to South Africa and Learn to Be a Killer
Every meat eater is a killer. But how many people take responsibility for that killing? It is so convenient to go down to the supermarket where the steak is neatly cut and wrapped in cling film on a polystyrene tray.
Life and Death. We have taken the process of "killing" and hidden it. We have distanced ourselves from the process of confronting death and owning what it means to take an animals life. There is beauty and peace when we acknowledge that one life has given way so another may carry on. And when the great cycle is in balance that harmony is significant.
There’d be less killing if we had to do it. The Green Guerrillas believe we need to begin the journey back to harmony. We need to take some steps backwards in order to go forwards. And in stepping backwards we need to dust off some of the beautiful relationships that exist between hunter and prey.
The Hunt. Africa is alive with such traditions and the Khoi San are true masters in the woven relationships of hunter and prey. The Chasing Hunt is one example of such mastery.
Gluttony. The urgency is in the shift away from the MASSIVE meat industry and the billions of cattle out there. The herds are unsustainable. Their inefficiency shocking. Africa would be better served by the free roaming game. Springbok and other antelope species are extremely efficient and keep the right balance in the indigenous bushveld. And their meat is leaner. Sure 1kg steaks won't be readily available, but the question remains:
"Why such gluttony?"
The Human desire for convenience, keeps BAD practice, the choice practice.
When wilderness areas recover we will be blessed with diversity and abundance.
We will feed our tummies, our eyes and find spiritual realignment.

Say NO to plastic bottled water
Choosing to drink filtered water is the right thing.
But, choosing to buy European bottled water, and water travelling from the other side of South Africa is WRONG.
Consumerism. When we buy into consumerism and branding we lose sight of our values. Imagine that water that is almost identical to SA’s tap water is travelling all the way from the Alps to your table! You’re paying for a brand. Just a lable.
The fact that that water has travelled across the globe to reach you is perverse and though it is “freedom of choice” that makes you feel comfortable with your choice doesn’t make that choice right.
Brand Slavery. The world’s consumers are burning up the earth’s precious resources to serve this notion of freedom – which is truly plain slavery – Brand Slavery. You are a brand slave. And as such you are directly responsible for the global situation we find ourselves in
Say NO! It is you and I that need to make the shift. To say: “NO!” No thank you clever advertisers. Sure we love our brands but we just will not buy into these ridiculous needs! Buy a filter and a beautiful bottle and claim for yourself real dignity and freedom. That is the Green Guerrilla Way!
Give up the Bottle. Understand “freedom” and understand “choice” and make sure you know when you are making choices that are of your own free will.
